Chrysler Pacifica Oil Change Specifications
The Chrysler Pacifica is the family hauler of choice for drivers across Western North Carolina — and like every modern Stellantis vehicle, it relies on full synthetic oil to keep its 3.6L Pentastar V6 running smoothly. Whether you have a standard Pacifica or the Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV), the gas-engine oil service is essentially the same. Our certified Mopar technicians use OEM-spec oil and filters on every Pacifica that comes through our service bay.
| Engine | Oil Type | Capacity | Filter | Interval |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3.6L Pentastar V6 (Gas) | SAE 5W-20 Full Synthetic | 5.9 quarts | Mopar MO-899 | 10,000 miles |
| 3.6L Pentastar V6 + PHEV (Hybrid) | SAE 5W-20 Full Synthetic | 5.9 quarts | Mopar MO-899 | 10,000 miles or 12 months |

Pacifica Hybrid pairs the Pentastar V6 with an eFlite electric drive system. The gas engine oil change interval is the same as the standard Pacifica, but Stellantis recommends a 12-month maximum interval even if mileage is low.

Oil Change Tips for Your Chrysler Pacifica
- Pacifica Hybrid owners: even if you drive mostly electric, the gas engine still needs an annual oil change — schedule every 12 months regardless of mileage.
- Family minivans see a lot of short trips and stop-start driving, which counts as severe-duty operation — consider 5,000-7,500 mile intervals for max engine longevity.
- All Pacifica engines require full synthetic oil — never substitute conventional or synthetic-blend.
- Towing with the Pacifica (up to 3,600 lbs) accelerates oil breakdown — change closer to 5,000-7,500 miles when towing regularly.
- AWD Pacificas have additional driveline fluid service needs — ask our team about transfer case and rear differential service intervals.
