2026 Jeep Wagoneer S Maintenance Schedule
Complete Service Intervals for the All-Electric Wagoneer S Dual-Motor Powertrain
Proudly serving Brevard, Asheville, Hendersonville, Fletcher & Cherokee NC

Jeep Wagoneer S Scheduled Maintenance Overview
The Jeep Wagoneer S is the brand’s first global all-electric SUV — dual-motor AWD producing 600 hp with 300 miles of EPA-estimated range. Electric powertrain means no oil changes, no spark plugs, no transmission fluid. But the Wagoneer S still needs regular service — drive unit gearbox fluid, high-voltage battery system, regenerative brakes, tires, and cabin air filter all require attention. Our Mopar-certified EV technicians handle all of it.
EVs do not use an Oil Change Indicator System because there is no engine oil. Instead, the Wagoneer S has a service-due indicator that tracks drive unit fluid, brake fluid, cabin air filter, and battery system inspections. Stellantis specifies annual or 10,000-mile intervals for routine inspection regardless of mileage — the EV still needs to be looked at every year.

Complete Maintenance Schedule by Mileage
| Mileage Interval | Services Performed |
|---|---|
| Annual Service (10,000 mi) | Rotate tires & inspect tread • Multi-point inspection • Inspect brake pads, rotors & hoses (regen-integrated) • Inspect drive unit gearbox fluid • Inspect HV battery cooling system • Inspect 12V auxiliary battery • Inspect charge port & cable • Inspect AWD electric motor mounts • Inspect cabin air filter • Software update check |
| Cabin Air Filter (12,000-24,000 mi) | Replace cabin air filter |
| 30,000-60,000 Miles | Inspect brake pads (typically minimal wear due to regen) • Inspect tires for replacement |
| 100,000 Miles | Drive unit gearbox fluid service • HV battery coolant service per Mopar EV warranty • Replace cabin air filter |
| 150,000 Miles | Continued drive unit and HV system inspection per Mopar EV warranty book |
| HV Battery Coolant | Inspected at every service; replaced per Mopar EV warranty schedule, typically every 5 years. |
| 12V Battery | Annual load test; replace every 4-6 years. |
Time-Based Service
Brake fluid: Replace every 3 years regardless of mileage — even though regenerative braking is the primary brake on EVs, friction brakes still need clean fluid for emergency stops. HV battery coolant: per Mopar EV warranty schedule. Drive unit gearbox fluid: ~100,000 miles.
Drive Unit & Powertrain Specifications
The Wagoneer S uses dual electric motors — one driving the front axle, one driving the rear. Combined output is 600 hp. The drive units use sealed reduction gearboxes that require periodic fluid service.
| Specification | Front Motor + Drive Unit | Rear Motor + Drive Unit | Combined / HV Battery |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power Output | Electric motor (varies by trim) | Electric motor (varies by trim) | 600 hp combined |
| Drive Unit Fluid | Mopar EV gearbox fluid | Mopar EV gearbox fluid | N/A |
| Drive Unit Service Interval | ~100,000 miles | ~100,000 miles | N/A |
| HV Battery | N/A | N/A | 100+ kWh Li-ion pack |
| Coolant | Drive unit shares HV cooling loop | Drive unit shares HV cooling loop | Mopar EV coolant; ~5 years |
| 12V Auxiliary Battery | Powers infotainment & accessories | — | Group 94R AGM; 4-6 year lifespan |
| Additional Notes | Single-speed reduction gearbox | Single-speed reduction gearbox | Regen braking blends with friction |
EV-Specific Maintenance Considerations
Wagoneer S maintenance is simpler than a comparable ICE SUV — no oil, no spark plugs, no transmission fluid (single-speed gearbox), no engine air filter, no accessory drive belt. But EVs introduce their own service needs.
- EV weight (about 5,800 lbs) stresses tires more than comparable gas SUVs — expect 20,000-30,000 miles for performance tires.
- Regenerative braking dramatically extends brake pad life — many EV owners go 80,000+ miles between brake services.
- Friction brakes can rust or corrode from disuse on regen-heavy vehicles — inspect annually.
- 12V auxiliary battery still needs annual testing — the most overlooked EV maintenance item.
- If vehicle sits unused for weeks, 12V battery can deplete — consider a trickle charger.
- DC fast charging accelerates HV battery wear — use Level 2 home charging when possible.
- Charge port and cable should be inspected monthly for damage or contamination.
- Mountain descents in Western NC still rely partly on friction brakes — let them cool after extended descents.
Severe & Special Operating Conditions
EV severe-duty conditions differ from ICE vehicles. Stellantis defines EV severe operating conditions as any of the items below.
- Frequent DC fast charging (more than once per week)
- Heavy spirited driving (Wagoneer S does 0-60 in 3.4 seconds)
- Operating in extreme cold (below 0°F) or extreme heat (above 100°F) regularly
- Routine HV battery state-of-charge above 90% or below 20% for extended periods
- Heavy loaded driving with full passenger load
- Sustained high-speed driving (battery cooling load)
- Towing within rated capacity (verify with owner’s manual)
- Vehicle sitting unused for extended periods (12V battery drain)

Service for Jeep Wagoneer S Owners Across Western NC
Wagoneer S owners across Western NC are early adopters of all-electric premium SUVs. Daily driving around Brevard, longer trips to Asheville (~40 minutes), Hendersonville (~30 minutes), Fletcher (~35 minutes), and Cherokee NC. Mountain grades stress the regen system. Cold winters affect HV battery range. Our Mopar-certified EV technicians are trained on the Wagoneer S drive unit and HV battery system.
Monthly & Semi-Annual Owner Checks
Between scheduled service visits, a few quick owner checks help catch problems before they become repairs. These take only a couple of minutes and apply to every Jeep Wagoneer S.
- Tire pressure — check monthly; low pressure significantly reduces EV range.
- Coolant level (HV battery cooling loop) — verify monthly.
- Brake fluid level — check monthly; even regen-heavy EVs still need clean brake fluid.
- 12V auxiliary battery — annual professional test (the most overlooked EV service).
- Charge port and cable — inspect monthly for damage, corrosion, or contamination.
- Tire sidewalls and tread — EV weight wears tires faster; inspect monthly.
- Software updates — check for OTA updates; install when prompted.
- Washer fluid — top off as needed.
