2025 Ram ProMaster EV Scheduled Maintenance Overview
The Ram ProMaster EV is the brand's all-electric commercial van: a single front-mounted 200-kW electric drive module (268 hp / 302 lb-ft), a 400-volt 110-kWh battery and front-wheel drive, designed for delivery, contractor and last-mile fleet routes. The electric powertrain eliminates oil changes, spark plugs, engine air filters and drive belts. But a commercial cargo van still needs regular service: tires, brakes, the 12V battery, the cabin air filter, coolant loops, the pocket door and, at high mileage, the Electric Drive Module fluid. Our BusinessLink-affiliated Mopar-certified EV technicians handle all of it.
There is no Oil Change Indicator because there is no engine oil. Instead, the 2025 owner's manual's Electric Vehicle plan runs on 10,000-mile / 12-month intervals: at every one, rotate the tires, inspect the 12V battery and terminals, inspect the CV joints, brake pads, rotors and hoses, and check the cooling system protection and hoses. Time-based items (brake fluid every 2 years) and mileage items (cabin filter, door hardware, coolant, EDM fluid) layer on top. Tires should also be rotated whenever the tread-depth difference reaches 2/32 inch, even before 10,000 miles.
Tire Rotation
Every 10,000 mi
(or when tread-depth difference reaches 2/32 in)
Cabin Air Filter
Inspect every 20,000 mi / 2 years
(replace as necessary)
Brake Fluid
Mopar DOT 4 every 2 years
(time-based, regardless of mileage)
Electric Drive Module Fluid

Time-Based Service
Several 2025 ProMaster EV items are governed by time as well as miles, whichever comes first:
- Brake fluid (Mopar DOT 4): replace every 2 years regardless of mileage; regen does most of the stopping, but the friction brakes still need clean fluid
- Tire rotation and 10,000-mile inspections: at least every 12 months even at low mileage
- Cabin air filter: inspect every 20,000 miles or 2 years and replace as necessary
- Front suspension, tie rod ends and brake pads: inspect every 20,000 miles or 2 years
- Rear door net block gap and pocket door lubrication: every 30,000 miles or 3 years
- Coolant: flush and replace the Mopar OAT coolant in the motor/battery and cabin heater loops at 10 years or 150,000 miles
- 12V battery: inspected and terminals cleaned at every 10,000-mile visit; the manual sets no replacement interval
Drive Unit & Powertrain Specifications
The ProMaster EV uses a single front-mounted electric motor driving the front wheels through a single-speed Electric Drive Module. The 400-volt, 110-kWh lithium-ion battery mounts under the cargo floor, preserving full cargo capacity, and Ram targets up to 164 miles of combined range for the 2025 cargo van. Service is light: the EDM is drained and filled once at 150,000 miles with 1.9 quarts of Shell L12108, the two Mopar OAT coolant loops (13.8 quarts for the motor and battery, 2.7 quarts for the cabin heater) are flushed at 10 years or 150,000 miles, and the DOT 4 brake fluid is replaced every 2 years.

Commercial EV, Delivery & Fleet Maintenance
ProMaster EV maintenance is simpler than the gas Pentastar V6 ProMaster: no oil, no spark plugs, no transmission fluid changes, no engine air filter, no accessory drive belt. But commercial cargo van use introduces its own items. The 2025 plan lubricates the pocket door receiver on the A and B pillars and the pocket door rollers and track every 30,000 miles, checks the rear door net block gap at the same interval, and inspects the brake pads and front suspension every 20,000 miles. High stop-start delivery duty wears tires unevenly, which is why Ram ties rotation to a 2/32-inch tread-depth difference as well as mileage.
- Sliding side doors and rear cargo doors cycle thousands of times in delivery use — inspect rollers and lubricate per fleet schedule.
- Heavy cargo loads accelerate tire wear; ProMaster EV runs LT-rated commercial tires — inspect monthly.
- Regenerative braking dramatically extends brake pad life, but heavy stop-start delivery use partially offsets this benefit.
- Friction brakes can rust or corrode from disuse — inspect every service.
- 12V auxiliary battery is the most overlooked EV service item — fleet duty shortens its life.
- DC fast charging accelerates HV battery wear — Level 2 home or depot charging is preferred for fleet operations.
- Charge port and cable should be inspected at every charging session in fleet duty (potential damage from frequent connect/disconnect).
- Cold weather reduces ProMaster EV range significantly — preheat the cabin while plugged in to preserve battery range.
- BusinessLink fleet programs offer priority EV service scheduling and preventive maintenance contracts.
Severe & Special Operating Conditions
Commercial van use is typically severe by definition: frequent stops, heavy loads, dusty jobsites and mountain grades. The 2025 ProMaster EV plan does not publish a separate severe-duty column; instead it front-loads inspections at every 10,000-mile visit and asks for tire rotation as soon as tread wear becomes uneven. If any of the conditions below apply to your routes, plan on more frequent inspections than the base schedule.
- Delivery, last-mile, or rideshare commercial duty (most ProMaster EV use)
- Frequent DC fast charging (more than once per week)
- Heavy cargo loads routinely (up to rated payload)
- Heavy stop-start operation accelerating brake wear
- Extended idling with HVAC running (depot, waiting for deliveries)
- Operating in extreme cold (below 0°F) or extreme heat (above 100°F)
- Routine HV battery state-of-charge above 90% or below 20% for extended periods
- Sustained mountain grade driving (Western NC routes)

Service for 2025 Ram ProMaster EV Owners Across Western NC
ProMaster EV fleet operators across Western NC are early adopters of all-electric commercial cargo vans for delivery, contractor service and mobile business across Brevard, Asheville, Hendersonville, Waynesville and Pisgah Forest. Mountain grades lean on regenerative braking on the way down and on the battery on the way up. Cold winters affect range. Heavy delivery stop-start use accelerates tire and brake wear. Our BusinessLink-affiliated Mopar-certified EV technicians are trained on the ProMaster EV drive module and high-voltage battery system.
Monthly & Semi-Annual Owner Checks
Between scheduled service visits, a few quick owner checks help catch problems before they become repairs. These take only a couple of minutes and apply to every 2025 Ram ProMaster EV.
- Tire pressure — check weekly under commercial use; low pressure significantly reduces EV range and cargo capacity.
- Coolant level (HV battery cooling loop) — verify monthly.
- Brake fluid level — check monthly; commercial duty stresses fluid.
- 12V auxiliary battery — annual professional test; fleet duty: every 6 months.
- Charge port and cable — inspect at every charging session for damage or contamination.
- Sliding doors and rear doors — test daily for delivery service; lubricate per schedule.
- Cargo tie-downs and bulkhead — inspect monthly; commercial vibration loosens hardware.
- Software updates — check for OTA updates; install when prompted.
